Simone studied Jewish and Islamic Studies at Lucerne, Basel and Jerusalem; after having received her doctorate in Jewish Studies she worked at the chair of Judaistik at the University of Lucerne. Since 2003 she is Subject Librarian at the Central and University Library Lucerne (ZHB Luzern), since 2015 she is responsible for Open Access at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and since 2019 she is head of the E-Science Departement at Central and University Library Lucerne. Alongside she is a lecturer at the University of Lucerne and at the University of Berne.
